Dr. Sonya Lutter
Ph.D., CFP®, LMFT
Texas Tech University Professor of Practice, Director of Financial Health and Wellness School of Financial Planning

Dr. Lutter serves as the inaugural Director of Financial Health and Wellness. She leads curriculum and continuing education opportunities in the areas of financial psychology, financial therapy, and financial behavior.
Sonya is also the owner of EnLite.World, a research and training consultancy firm for financial planners and therapists. She holds degrees from Kansas State University and Texas Tech University in marriage and family therapy and financial planning.
Sonya draws upon decades of experience in academia to apply theory to practice. Her developmental work in financial therapy is summarized in Financial Therapy: Theory, Research, and Practice with co-editors Drs. Brad Klontz and Kristy Archuleta.
Ed Coambs
CFP®, LMFT, CFT-I™
Ed is a firefighter turned financial planner (CFP®) turned marriage and family financial therapist. He knows a lot about walking into high-intensity situations, navigating “the flames,” and walking everyone out safely.

With both formal education and personal experience in resolving conflicts, managing finances, developing emotional intimacy, and understanding family systems, he's an informed and empathetic guide along your love and money journey. Ed's goal is to help couples uncover and understand the roots underlying their financial conflicts and move towards financial intimacy.
