Why We Left X for Blue Sky

At one time, over 1,000 folks followed us in our short time on X. But we no longer monitor the account, and for good reason.
If you love Andrew Tate, you’ll hate what I say next.
I crave a social media community where ideas about how we can be better people are freely shared without the irritating and unwanted responses from trolls.
I long for the “good-ole-days” of Twitter. That’s not to say that LinkedIn is bad, quite the opposite. But there are advantages to the old Twitter, and here’s why I miss it.
For over a decade, I used my Twitter account to collect ideas to be a better personal finance teacher. I participated in countless scheduled “Twitter Chats” over pressing topics we needed to address to be better for our students. We learned from one another and felt uplifted in the process.
We shared links to resources and articles without our voice being suppressed by algorithms designed to keep us on the site. That is the social media community I crave once again.
Like that community, modern husbands and all modern spouses, for that matter, are proud to support our ambitious partners. We seek evidence-based ideas and engage in discussions about how to be our best selves inside the home, and that makes us a community. We are positive, proud, and supportive.
We are better than the Andrew Tate-type trolls who try to emasculate egalitarianism or financial absolutists tossing money messages of shame into our feeds. Both of whom you will find rabble-rousing on X.
Blue Sky is a community-building tool that allows for the joyful exchange of ideas about managing our money and homes as a team.
