Super Bowl Party Family Activities

Super Bowl LVIII Three-Part Series

Super Bowl parties are a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, enjoy the game, and engage in fun activities. Here's a comprehensive list of 15 Super Bowl party family activities, along with instructions for each:

1. Football Bingo

Create bingo cards with football-related terms (touchdown, interception, field goal, etc.). As the game progresses, mark off the terms as they occur. The first person to get five in a row wins a prize.

2. Jersey Decorating Station

Set up a table with fabric markers, iron-on patches, and plain jerseys or t-shirts. Let everyone decorate their own jersey with their favorite team colors and player numbers.

3. Super Bowl Trivia

Prepare a list of Super Bowl trivia questions covering various aspects of the game's history. Divide into teams and take turns asking questions. The team with the most correct answers wins.

4. DIY Foam Finger Making

Provide foam sheets, scissors, glue, and markers. Instruct participants to cut out a hand shape from the foam and decorate it with team slogans or colors.

5. Touch Football Game

Set up a small area in the backyard or a nearby park for a friendly touch football game. Divide into teams and enjoy a game during halftime or before the main event.

6. Commercial Rating Contest

Have everyone rate the Super Bowl commercials on a scale of 1 to 10 as they air. Discuss which commercials were the most memorable and why.

7. Snack Stadium Building

Use various snacks like chips, pretzels, veggies, and dips to build a snack stadium. Arrange the snacks to resemble football field elements like stands, goals, and players.

8. Halftime Show Dance-Off

Watch the halftime show performance and then have a dance-off imitating the performers. Award prizes for the most enthusiastic, creative, and entertaining dancers.

9. Football Toss Competition

Set up targets at varying distances and assign point values to each target. Participants take turns throwing a football at the targets, aiming for the highest score.

10. Super Bowl Prediction Game

Have everyone predict the final score, MVP, and key game statistics before kickoff. Award points for accurate predictions and tally up the scores at the end of the game.

11. DIY Photo Booth

Create a football-themed backdrop with props like helmets, foam fingers, and pom-poms. Take family photos throughout the party for lasting memories.

12. Super Bowl Charades

Write down football-related words or phrases on slips of paper. Players take turns acting out the word or phrase while others guess what it is.

13. Recipe Cook-Off

Challenge family members to come up with their own Super Bowl snack recipes. Have a taste test and vote for the best recipe.

14. Football Crafts

Set up a craft table with materials to make football-themed crafts like paper helmets, foam footballs, or pennant flags.

15. Super Bowl Commercial Bingo

Create bingo cards with different types of commercials (car ads, snack ads, celebrity cameos, etc.). Mark off squares as the corresponding commercials air during the game.
